Happy new year!

Sorry, I have been a little MIA. I have been working extra hard at designing classes for the spring and of course putting the finishing touches on my Design 101 web class...and of course enjoying the holidays!!

I got just what I wanted for Christmas...everyone was healthy for about 10 whole days!! Of course that record was broken today by Brittany. Oh well!

I did get some great gifts... I got an Epson Printer and a Kobo book reader... I really love them both!

But now the holidays are over...I always find this time of the year a little depressing, taking down the decorations, everything always looks a little bare! So I thought I would do something fun for today...

How about giving something away!...

WANT TO WIN A FREE DESIGN 101 Web Course?

Here is what you have to do to get something you really wanted for Christmas!!  Just simply comment  below with answer to this question:
What was the best Christmas Present you ever received?

...for every 10 new comments I will give away one free tuition!!

start your new year with some great scrapbooking and creative fun!!!

  1. That's a tough question. When I was young I always wanted musical things, like a keyboard, or karaoke machine, and those were all pretty great! But this year, my second won was born just a couple months before Christmas, so having a new baby to celebrate Christmas with, along with my 3-year-old son and husband, was certainly the best thing I could ever ask for!

Glad you had 10 healthy days!

  3. The best gift came from myself! Design 101 in my stocking ;) Its part of my "ME" year! Plan to make even more time for scrapbooking than I did last year, a little more time at the spa, and more time for chick flicks with the ladies! Happy New Year! Can't wait for the online class to start!

  4. I am pretty excited about the new sewing machine I got this year, but my most favorite gift is a diamond tennis bracelet my husband bought me last year. He picked it out all by himself and it is soooo beautiful! I haven't taken it off since the day he gave it to me! :-)

  5. I have two favourite Christmas presents… the first was my engagement ring in 1999 and the second is the birth of our daughter on Dec. 20, 2008. She wasn't due until Dec. 28th, so the fact that she came in time for Christmas (and that I wasn't in hospital for Christmas) was the best!
I would love a spot in your class. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
    Happy New Year!

  6. Hmmm... well, I've not yet had a baby in time for Christmas so everything else looks a little less dramatic than the previous entries :o) But other than that, I guess there's a few good ones. One of my favorites was my kitten when I was 8 years old who ended up being my best friend for 15 years! Another would be the remote controlled race car set from my parents because as much as everyone told me 'that's a boy's toy'... my parents always taught me I was never limited to what I wanted to be or achieve... whether it was a race car set or being an NFL Quarterback (even though I abandoned that dream shortly after my 13th birthday...)

  7. Well this one was easy! Even though I was pretty darn happy about my new lens for my camera... My very dearest and long time friend had endured probably one of the hardest times of her life when she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After a partial mastectomy, several chemo treatments and umpteen radiation treatments, and all the other awful stuff that comes with all of that...the best present ever was undoubtably when she was officially pronounced last year as "Cancer Free"! Best Christmas present ever!(Love u Sue!
    Best wishes to all!!

  8. Well I'd have to say the best Christmas present I have ever received was this year. I have met a fantastic Christian man and he told me that he loved me on Christmas eve at the airport as he was leaving me for 15 days. He told me he plans on marrying me in the near future. But it is truly an amazing gift when you know that God is at work in your life and places a man in your life that truly loves you. I have never felt what true love should feel like. He has also been helping my through my past abuses so that I may live for God. He has been helping me with my testimony so I my help others. I with you all the best New Year and God bless. Thanks, Shannon

  9. Hmmm that's a hard one, I really love all my Christmas presents...every year, I just love Christmas. However, this year was my favorite Christmas, our baby boy is now 8 months old, and while I'm sure he didn't fully grasp the concept of Christmas and opening gifts, watching his cousins, watch him, was about the best thing I can remember. This year was all about giving presents to him...Santa went a little nuts at our house! After reading a previous blog post of yours, I did ask for a Distrezz it - and got it, and it's so super cool, I LOVE it - so thansk for the suggestion Christy! Santa delievered! Thanks!! Julie

  10. This is a hard question because every year the gifts I get are always my favorite. But I guess I would have to say my favorite was a fully furnished doll house I received when I was 7. Thanks and I hope you have a very Happy New Year.

  11. My very favorite Christmas gift is one I remember as a child when my brother and I got a joint gift of a Nintendo, finally I was hip like the other kids in town with the latest gaming system not getting it when it was OLD news. I have to say that I seldom remember the gifts but I always remember the moments from Christmas past.

  12. The one gift that comes to mind is the scrapbook that my sister made me. She is not a scrapbooker but she did up the scrapbook of pictures of us growing up. It was funny as when I opened the gift I thought she just gave me a album to put my own pages in and I set it down but she says "Open it"!. lol It was a gift that came from the heart.

  13. The best gift I got wasn't a 'thing' at all. As a teenager one year for Christmas I got three extra gifts for my mom, aunt and grandma. Being the only child in the family and being raised by adults I always felt like I had to keep up or impress. My grandma had always loved Bingo. So after the gifts and before the turkey, typically when they would play cards, I asked if we could play a game that I made. They got quiet, rolled their eyes, and told me later that they were thinking, 'oh great. well okay, it IS Christmas after all' They sat up straighter in their chairs once they saw the three little gifts come out and the the dobbers and finally the Bingo cards. We played Bingo for the presents and they had such a blast that when we were done with my three presents Grandma got up and routed around her house to find more little things to play for.
I felt on top of the world! From then on, on Christmas eve we got together to play Bingo :)

  14. Wow, best gift ever??? Not really sure, but I love getting together with family... Can that count? I've been lucky enough to spend the holidays with family every year and that's what I love most about the season, so it's a great gift.

  15. The Best Gift Ever was probably my brother coming to our house for Christmas this year. We have not had him come for Christmas for many years and he came out this year with his Girlfriend and her three Children. It was so AMAZING. Hopefully we will see him again next year.

  17. The best gift I've received was when my parents took all us kids, and our kids, to Palm Springs for the holidays. We spent 10 days together and the kids had a great time with their grand parents.

  19. Let's see, I have to say I'm very lucky to have a pretty fab husband who buys lots of great gifts for me, but I'd say the best gift from him (other than 3 fantastic children of course) is my Canon Rebel T1i. I had coveted that camera for some time before it showed up in my stocking!

  21. The gift of having my family together every year. This year was the first year it was just me and my girls - it was hard, but watching the smiles & excitement on their faces on how Santa made it through their "watch" was a great gift.

The other best gifts are the ones that my kids go shopping for all on their own (in my Children's Christmas Store), I get kicked out and they find what they think I want. I love opening up their gifts.. the excitement is contagious!

thanks for offering a great gift here as well - would love this course!
