Art Journal Video

I made this video the other night...it is a sped up version of me creating a page. I am trying to learn how to create videos and do all the editing so I can offer online classes. This is just my first step....first of many!

BTW...I love this finished page!!! And this great SMAK kit from Unity Stamps!

  1. I watched!! :) Kinda hard for me to see a lot of it and the one thing I would mention would be to have your work facing the right way so it would be easier to follow, so turn the camera around maybe?! That is all! Inspiring as always!!! :)

  2. I don't think I would speed it up for a class...that would make it easier to see what I am doing. I have to play with my lighting too, but I don't know if I could change my camera angle??? That might be hard.

  4. LOVE it... LOVED IT ... LOVED IT! maybe just a leeeetle slower and a little bit brighter (higher quality video??) I just watched an on-line segment where the instructor broke up the video about three times with written cards (like the old day silent movies) so it gave you a little more info and allowed your brain to process each stage.... You might want to think about something like that.. but I LOVED your first video and LOVED your page and would totally pay for a "Christy Riopel" on-line class (smile)

  5. Holy Smoley Batman, I knew you were fast, but I'm still at the rule of thirds, basting and cooking a turkey 10 different ways stage of learning. Absolutely wonderful, but please slow down for this old girl!!! LOL
Brilliant piece of art,and love the stamps you used. I don't know how you
journalled so fast but good for you! My only minor criticism would be that the lighting was almost too bright, and I did find it hard to see what you were doing at times. I know nothing about making these videos, so I'm not sure what you would need to do to see more of the colour when you are creating. Other than that, I think you will be successful at this en-devour and tap into a whole new customer base....people that can't get out easily to stores or other accommodations. They can sit right at home with their cup of tea/coffee or "other", and create slowly by just stopping the video until they catch up to you. Make sense??!! I am so excited for you! :)
